Find out why Park Avenue at South Bank uses the i-mop to clean their floors

We recently asked Michael Taylor, the Building Manager for Park Avenue Apartments , a few questions around the i-mop . Read the answers below to see what he said.
Tell us a little bit about Park Avenue Apartments – where your located, how many rooms etc?
Park Avenue Apartments is a building of 54 apartments (predominantly owner occupied) located inside the boundaries of South Bank Parklands in South Brisbane.
Tell us a little bit about your role and responsibilities?
My role as Building Manager is to keep the building clean and tidy and the systems operational and compliant.
Were there any particular challenges or requirements that made you decide to look for a floor scrubber?
We have large areas of Sandstone flooring with a cream grout on our ground floor entry level. This was proving difficult to clean and maintain clean. We had tried a couple of mop systems but every couple of years it required a commercial clean as well, which was very costly.
Did you compare the i-mop to any other machines? What made you choose the i-mop?
Once I had seen a video of the i-mop in action I was very keen to have it demonstrated on our floors in our environment and did not consider anything else.
What have been the key benefits of using the i-mop?
The areas we predominantly use the i-mop in are common throughfare areas and it is great that these areas are left virtually dry and ready to go as soon as the job is complete, also very easy to dry a strip for someone to walk over whilst cleaning is in progress.
What do your housekeeping staff say about the i-mop?
I choose to operate the machine myself and while it has added to my list of chores, I do get to see the very real difference it has made to our floors.

What would you say to anyone looking at buying an i-mop machine for cleaning apartments?

Any other comments, stories or fun facts about the i-mop? (No story is a bad story 😊)
Our machine was a Body Corporate Committee buying decision and there was a strong reluctance to spend the required outlays to purchase. They can now see the ongoing benefit and are very happy with the decision they made. The longer we have it and the more we use it, we find more applications to use it on.
