Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Steve Erbacher, General Sales Manager at Coupland's Bakeries , one of the largest independently owned Bakeries chains in New Zealand, about their efforts to improve their daily cleaning operations. A significant amount of effort was spent on trying to keep the floors clean, but with the introduction of the i-mop , the task has become much more manageable.

The i-mop is an innovative cleaning tool that utilizes a high-speed rotation and spray system to effectively clean and dry floors simultaneously.

According to Steve, "We were spending a lot of time every night using buckets of water and mops, moving dirt around. It used to take 30 minutes with 3 people and now it’s 30 minutes with 1 person. The i-mop is not only more efficient, but it also brought some of the shine back into the old vinyl flooring."

One of the major benefits of the i-mop is that the floor is virtually dry once you’ve just gone over it, which means that while they still have safety signs up while cleaning, there isn't really any water left on the floor. Additionally, the i-mop allows the team at Coupland's Bakeries to maintain the floors throughout the day, rather than waiting until the end of the day once the store is closed. This means they can maintain a clean and safe environment for their customers and employees throughout the day.

When asked about his favorite feature of the i-mop, Steve said “The i-dose system. It is so easy to use. It hasn’t got chemicals that have to be measured, and it’s all automatic. I don’t need to worry about the team over using or underusing the amount of chemical."

Steve Erbacher stated, Coupland's Bakeries had also implemented the use of the i-mop in their other facilities where it is used to give a thorough clean once a week. This ensures that the entire organization is able to maintain the same high standards of cleanliness and safety.

When asked if he would recommend the i-mop, Steve Erbacher stated, "It’s beyond our expectations. It really is doing a really good job. The guys like it, it’s easy, it’s actually a lot of fun. It’s not laborious for them." He then added, “If you're in the market for a new floor cleaner and have a reasonable size space with a decent amount of foot traffic, the i-mop is definitely worth considering.”

The team at Coupland's Bakeries couldn't be happier with the results and they have even got plans to purchase more for other sites throughout the year.
