The i-mop Supports Supermarket Cleaning At IGA Rostrata

Dave Porter from Rostrata IGA in Willetton, Western Australia tells us how the i-mop has helped the floor cleaning processes in his supermarket.

What did you think when you first saw the i-mop floor scrubber in action?

I was impressed with the fact it was battery powered and appeared to be very versatile, while still being very compact.

What have been the benefits of using the i-mop?

I was previously using a contractor to strip seal and polish our floors twice a year, which lead to our floors being quite degraded for long periods of time, despite being mopped every day. The i-mop has been invaluable in that when we scrub/mop floors with it now, the finish is maintained in a much better condition. Also, we have been able to use the i-mop to strip our floors ourselves, which has been a big cost saving.

What sort of areas and what types of floors do you clean with the i-mop?

We use the i-mop on our epoxy kitchen floors as well as our vinyl shop floors

How much has it improved the cleanliness of your floors?

The fact we can maintain the gloss and polish of the floors has meant we can strip and seal much less often. Day to day the appearance of our vinyl shop floors is much improved.

How were you previously cleaning your floors? How does the i-mop compare?

Previously mop and bucket with periodic strip and seals. The i-mop is a much more effective clean from day to day and maintains the seal on our vinyl floors for much longer than merely mopping alone.

How well do you think the i-mop is suited to small supermarket cleaning?

While it is a large initial investment, the fact that the i-mop is cordless and leaves floors almost dry after use, can be used to strip floors, as well as scrub and maintain them, has meant it has eliminated a number of other methods that would take a lot more time to complete, as well as given us the ability to complete things like stripping floors which we did not have the equipment to do previously.
