Tell us about your cleaning business –history, what you do and what makes you special?

My partner Joane started cleaning houses in mid 2019 and was often asking me to come and help her. I decided to join her in Jan 2020 as a full-time co-director. We were hit pretty hard initially by lockdown but managed to survive and even thrive when restrictions were loosened. I think that makes us pretty special.

What are the different cleaning machines you have in your arsenal?

An i-scrub 30E (obviously), 4 vacuums, a rotary scrubber, a polisher, a hand-held orbital polisher, a few steamers and some other things I am probably forgetting.

What made you choose the i-scrub 30 orbital scrubber as part of your kit?

I knew that it was an immensely flexible tool and after a lot of research I decided to take the plunge.

What have been the benefits of using the i-scrub 30?

It’s small and light yet powerful and doesn’t have a steep learning curve like some other equipment. You can easily control the moisture on hard floors unlike mop systems and with a microfibre pad that holds a lot of soil you barely need to swap them out. That means huge productivity improvements.

What sort of cleaning applications do you use the i-scrub 30 for?

I primarily use it on hard floors - a lot of wood, tile and LVP. We also do balcony cleans where I might use the blue tile brush to loosen soils. I have ‘pad-capped’ a few carpets too.

How were you previously cleaning those floors? How does the i-scrub compare?

Mopping - tedious, slow and tiring for large areas

What are the things you like most about the i-scrub?

The way it cuts through the footprints, scuffs, pawprints and little spills on a hard floor and leaves it looking AMAZING.

What sort of businesses or applications would you say the i-scrub 30 best suits?

House cleaners for sure, it has upped our game a ton. Carpet cleaners looking for a tool to agitate, clean stairs or padcap with. A restaurant could use it on scuffed floors that need a little more than a mopping; The list goes on...
